SLARAFFENLAND - MEET AND GREET 7"

ive been working with Hometapes in the states and Rumraket over seas to finish up a slew of fun work for the new Slaraffenland record. although i still really cant pronounce the name of the band, i really like the album and i am excited to see the colored vinyl 7" come out this week.

also the first 100 of them on the Hometapes site have been signed and doodled on by myself.

also the CD and fancy LP comes out on September 15, also check out Slaraffenland’s upcoming tour with Akron/Family coming to your town soon.

LOGAN BAY HOUSE MINIMIX

my good homie Logan Bay (1/2 of Gutter Butter) recently moved to Thailand, so unfortunately i can no longer stand drunkenly in the DJ booth with him yelling at the top of my lungs and making air horn noises and talking about the good old days. but one good part of the move is he has some time on his hands to make more mixes. he recently started making quick mini mixes of different themes and styles of music.

The first in a the series is a little old school Chicago style house workout! anyone who knows me knows i have a love for old Chicago house / acid / hip house so i was excited to see this one come out.

got the sad news the other day about the homie OIL. Bernie was the man behind the hand doing a lot of the handstyles for numerous projects i art directed or designed over the last 9 years (including projects for Chocolate Industries, Counterflow Recordings, Also Known As & Nike). we hadn't hung out in years but he was always a character when i saw him. this is the last photo of him i had taken a few years back in NYC at the AKA release party.........
